It was so apparent that his priority was to make sure I completed the program successfully which was very appreciated. I highly recommend AFIT and Eric if you are serious about becoming a private pilot in the most efficient way possible! We utilize a 2011 Cessna 162 Sky Catcher for light-sport and private training. I landed in Van Nuys two weeks ago at 5:00 AM not knowing what to expect. Thats something I appreciate. They dont just know the answers. All this in 10 days from the best instructor I have ever been in touch with. My instructor Andy, wonderful man, worked with me and had me flying solo in what seemed like no time after having been at a school that took over three months to teach me to properly land. I highly recommend Ruben to any prospective pilot needing training for their next certification. AFIT flight training costs slightly above the other flying school in USA but, it is transparent and no other dark fees. I feel like those 9 days not only helped meachieve my PPL goal but they truly made me a much better and more aware pilot. By the end of the training, Ruben has found me a DPE in Chico which is very hard to do because of DPE shortage in Norcal. Todd (my CFI) was amazing in my corner every step of the way; truly a world class instructor, coach and mentor. A fantastic program and group of people to help you achieve your goal! Once you get to know a bit more about John you quickly learn that he is in the business of wowing you. When I reached Lincoln, CA I was paired with my CFI Paul. My instructor, Sean, was incredible and provided tremendous support every step of the way. In 6 weeks with the school, I had only flown 12 times, with a student:instructor ratio of at least 6:1 and a student:aircraft ratio approaching 10:1, repeating lessons that I had done previously, and making absolutely no forward progress towards my cross-country solos and getting lined up for a checkride. Im headed back to Seattle and wanted to give you a review of my experience with this program. My instructor, John Mowatt, was top notch and made the training enjoyable from takeoff to landing. I was pushed each day to grow and develop my skillset. What a relief and what a pleasure to work with Tony at corporate and Ruben in Sacramento. Private Pilot license (PPL) Accelerated school within 14 Days! He is kind, easy to get along with and one of the most experienced aviators Ive ever met. When you travel all the way across the Pacific, you have a very tight time frame and budget to achieve your objectives. Training with Lou gave me what I needed not only to pass the tests but to be a good pilot, with the assurance that he was always by my side to help me achieve my dream safely and with excellence. By the 4th or 5th day I felt more comfortable and by day 7 when I had my first solo flight I was comfortable and ready. My time with AFIT and Ruben was one for the the memory bank and I feel that I have gained a friend in Ruben as a result. And the most important, a Great Senior instructor working with you the whole day, every day. I made good progress but was unable to finish so I reached out again and asked Tony if AFIT would help me complete my training. Apart from the flight training, I learned so much more from Jason, and if it was not for his added effort and persistence I dont think I would have achieved a solo flight in 6 days and my private pilot certificate in just 14days. I got my ticket in 42 hours, & I credit John for getting me through in just over the minimum- He has an eye for detail, & doesnt miss a thing in the aircraft. With AFIT and the help of Oleg I not only learned how to fly in JUST TWO WEEKS (thats amazing in itself), but this program deepened my love for flying. My instructor, Ricardo, helped me learn the skills necessary to become a pilot and handled setting up the test and check ride necessary to become a Private Pilot. Accelerated Flight Training (APPL) Program- SkyEagle Aviation Academy 25 Hours Ground Instruction. Item #4: Get your Private Pilot Licence (PPL) ground school done early or ahead of time if you can. Ruben was an amazing CFI because he is patient, encouraging, and really knows how to teach aviation and build the confidence required to fly solo. I was able to attain my pilots license in 12 days. 2 weeks from Zero hours to PPL. A private pilot may carry passengers but may not be paid for doing so, although the pilot can share operating expenses with the passengers. The easiest thing for Eric to do, would be to tell me that I wasnt destined to be a pilot and to move on. I trained for over a year in Seattle, clocked over 50 hours but the school didnt let me solo due to various technicalities. That was such a confidence booster as opposed to my earlier training experience. The very next day I soloed! My gratitude and kudos to Mike and AFIT. I soloed in 4 days and passed the check ride at the end of the finish up. Thanks for the opportunity to work with Greg. This is the biggest plus. The team here truly works with you in a solution-focused manner, sometimes moving mountains to make it all work out. I found the course to be intense and challenging, however I enjoyed this as flying was my life for two weeks. John was an excellent teacher and coach throughout the whole 14 days.
